CES - SCÉ 2019

This interactive session aims for a 2-way exchange among evaluators & practitioners on evaluation challenges faced in medical gifts-in-kind programs (partnerships of corporate donors and NGOs). Attendees will have the chance to apply evaluative skills to new contexts. We from the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations will present background on its mission and ask attendees' interest and experience with 5 issues. We will choose a # of high-ranked issues based on attendance. We may lead sub-groups, or volunteers may opt-in. Discussion will center not around abstract issue titles, but concrete exercises which can ensure all participate, launch discussions, and allow passing on good practice tips afterward. There will be report-back, and discussion. Issues may include: identifying key risks; monitoring needs specific to humanitarian settings; avoiding harm to local markets; pricing of drugs; corporate donor reporting needs; and ensuring programs address training needs.
