Evaluators often face the challenge of producing rigorous evaluation findings for high profile programs while operating in an environment of constrained resources. Qualitative data helps us answer the questions of "how" and "why" a program is effective and efficient -- but with large volumes of data, we must build a bridge between the need for rigorous analysis and efficient project management. This is no easy task!
In this presentation, an analyst from the Public Health Agency of Canada will describe how one evaluation team used qualitative analysis software and creative thinking to quickly and effectively analyse key informant interviews for Evaluation of the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS. The presentation also will discuss how the Office of Audit and Evaluation has used these strategies to achieve efficiencies in project management across the branch.
