Diversity', 'inclusiveness', 'cultural responsiveness', 'human rights, 'feminism(s)', 'GBA ', 'equity'... the list of similar sounding terms is long and yet they have all been used by evaluators to bridge our values with our practice. In this interactive session, we will begin by briefly examining how these terms have been defined in the literature. Next, we will explore together both how evaluators conceptualize these terms and in what ways the nuances in terminology affect evaluative thinking and practice. The session will conclude with delegates considering how these diverse terminologies and their associated values apply to the work of CES and its members. Contributions to the discussion will feed into the development of the value proposition that guides the integration of a diversity lens into the full breadth of CES's work.
